I morphed a pencil and a dragonfly together because it honestly seemed to be the simplest to do. To make the piece I used pencil because it is a pencil. I used pictures on google to help draw the dragonfly and drawn the pencil while looking at another pencil. I feel like the most successful part of the piece would be the pencil itself. I would have changed the wing if i were to change anything they do not look similar at all to me.

Charcoal has the advantages of being able to show great value with in the peace. Pen has the advantage of being able to get the darkest of the darks but not able to get the lighter values. Pencil has the advantage of the great value from light to dark. The warm up i learned the most from would be the value warm up. It taught me how to apply value using a pencil in different methods.
Yulia Brodskayawas born in 1983, Moscow Russia. She is an artist and illustrator known for her handmade elegant and detailed paper illustrations. Originally from Moscow, she is now lives in the UK. Most of her work uses an old technique called Quilling, in which ribbons of paper are used to create intricate designs. Her work inspires me and draws me in because of the texture and the colors. I like the way the colors are showing value and how it is bright and colorful.
